Assess early elementary rhythm activities for steady beat, pattern repetition, body movement, and participation.

Pattern Repetition

Echoes most rhythm patterns correctly.

Echoes simple patterns but struggles with longer ones.

Cannot yet repeat rhythm patterns.

Body Movement

Uses whole body expressively to show rhythm (clapping, stomping, swaying).

Uses some body movements to demonstrate rhythm.

Attempts movement but it does not match the rhythm.

Does not use body movement to show rhythm.

Participation & Enthusiasm

Participates eagerly, encourages peers, and shows joy in music-making.

Participates willingly in all activities.

Participates with reminders or only in some activities.

Does not participate in rhythm activities.
